The CUHS Softball and Baseball Teams combined for 12 All-CNC League selections as announced by league officials following the completion of the KSHSAA State Tournaments, Friday.Heading up the Columbus honorees are four unanimous All-CNC League First Team Selections for the Lady Titans.

Winners of the Sportsman’s Club casting contest Saturday in the under six years old class with first place being claimed by Cooper Miller, with a cast of 111-inches from the target. Jhett Davis was second within 137-inches and Wesson Jones was third with a cast 151-inches from the target.

Volleyball Camp fundraiser set

The Columbus Lady Titan Volleyball Team will be hosting a team camp, Tuesday and Wednesday at the CUHS Gymnasium. Students in eighth through 12th grade are encouraged to attend. There is a 15 dollar fee for those not participating in team fundraising projects.

Frontenac wins state quarterfinal

The Frontenac Raiders won their Kansas Class 3A State Quarterfinal game, yesterday in Manhattan at Kansas State University’s Tointon Family Stadium, 6-5, in an extra inning over Burlington.The Raiders were ranked fifth with a record of 17-8 going into the tournament.

CUHS Baseball offseason starts Tuesday

The Columbus Titan Baseball Team will be playing summer league ball with Baxter Springs, St. Mary’s-Colgan, Lamar, Mo., Galena, Girard, Riverton, Southeast, Quapaw, Okla., and Labette County starting Tuesday and running through June 24.

Frontenac, Colgan represent CNC at state softball tourney

The Frontenac Lady Raiders have returned to the Kansas Class 3A State Softball Tournament after a one-year absence following their 2022 championship run.

Busy summer planned for Titan Football

The Columbus Titan Football Team has a busy summer set with team camps, conditioning, and hosting young players for camp. The most recent schedule has been released by Titan Head Coach, Blake Burns and is subject to change.

Cal Ripken T-ball continues tonight

Columbus Cal Ripken T-Ball continues tonight with Mid-America Pipe and Jay Hatfield Motor Sports facing off on the T-Ball Field at the Columbus Community Field Ball Park at 6 p.m.Their is a possibility for a make-up game if needed, but no game is necessary as of press time.
