Last call for signups

Today is the final day for signups for the Columbus Youth Basketball Program. The local program will have activities for PreK through sixth grade. The PreK through second grade will have skills practice and intra-squad games. There is a $20 fee per child for this age group.

Titan Wrestling opens with mixer

The Columbus Junior High Wrestling team participated in a mixer with Ft. Scott, Girard, Prairie View, Uniontown, Frontenac girls, and Jayhawk Linn, Thursday in Mound City. The Titans went 23-16 on the night.

Lady Titans 3-1 in Jamboree action

The Columbus Junior High School hosted an Jamboree event, Saturday, at the CUHS Gymnasium with Northeast and College Heights teams joining the Lady Titans for a day of basketball. The Seventh Grade Columbus Girls opened the day with a win over the Lady Vikings, 33-13.

Week 10 contest finale results

Two CNC League Teams are still alive in the Kansas State Football Playoffs with wins in week ten, once again proving the strength of the local league. The Frontenac Raiders pulled off a 15-12 win over Burlington a week after the Wildcats eliminated the Columbus Titans in the Class 3A bracket. St.

Riverton takes round ball wins

The Lady Titan Junior High School Basketball Team fell victim to the Riverton Lady Rams in the eighth grade and seventh grade A Teams, Thursday in Riverton. The Combined B Team escaped with a slim win to keep the team out of a sweep. Riverton edged Columbus, 17-14, in the 8A game.

Seven Titans win at Labette County

The Columbus Titans took seven first place finishes at the Labette County Junior High Wrestling Tournament, Saturday. Wyatt Pool, Kai Langerot, Jayden Dohle, Logan Mc-Bride, Kash Smith, Nicole McBride, and Adalynn Hutto all brought home first place medals from the tournament.

The Columbus Mini Titan Fifth and Sixth Grade Team earned a spot in the SEK Youth Football League Super Bowl tomorrow after a 38-20 win over Frontenac Clemenson, Monday Night, at Titan Stadium. They will play Frontenac Nelson, Saturday, in Frontenac at 3 p.m.

The Columbus Fifth and Sixth Grade Titans punched their ticket to the SEK League Youth Football Super Bowl with their 38-20, semi-final, win over Frontenac Clemenson, Monday night under the lights at Titan Stadium.

Lady Titans hosting skills clinic

The Columbus Lady Titans are hosting a SKILLS Camp, Sunday, November 12, for high school and junior high school players. Independence Community College Head Coach, Rob Beckmann, will be in Columbus for two sessions of skills learning.
