Titans sweep Rams in Sr. Night double header

The Columbus Titans came out strong and held off a charging Ram Team to earn the sweep in a makeup double header, Friday at Bomber Field. The double wins, 9-6 and 9-7, came on Senior Night, the final regular season home game for the Titans.

Titan Eighth Grade CCCJL results

Blaze Bowman placed first in the 100 Meter Hurdles and the Long Jump and Tanner Scott took first place in the Pole Vault event at the CCCJ League Track and Field Meet, Friday in Frontenac. The meet was the final outting for the CJHS Team.

The Columbus Unified High School Band received a I Rating at the Kansas State High School Large Musical Group Competition, April 16, at Pittsburg State University’s Bicknell Family Center.
Lady Titan Brinleigh Meyer clears the hurdle during the Columbus Invitational, April 20, at the Central School Track. Thursday, she won the 100 Meter Hurdle event at the Frontenac Invitational with a time of 18.41 seconds and was a member of the 4x200 Meter Relay Team that also placed first at Frontenac. The Columbus seventh grader placed fifth in the 400M Dash and sixth in the 100M Dash.

Lady Titan seventh slips past Girard

The Columbus Lady Titans won the seventh grade girls division of the Frontenac Invitational Track and Field Meet, April 23. The Lady Titans scored 71 team points to slip past Girard with 68 team points and Pittsburg in third place with 65 points.

Titan Basketball golf fundraiser approaches

The Columbus Titan Basketball fundraiser is fast approaching. The second annual golf scramble to benefit the Titan Team is planned for Saturday, May 30, at Brush Creek Golf Course.Entries are currently being taking for the twoman scramble format with the fee set at $100 per team.

Columbus Junior Babe Ruth will be having signups for league play May 9 at the Columbus Community Field Ball Park. Junior Babe Ruth is for all local players ages 13-16-yearolds. The majority of these players may currently be on the high school team.
