First Columbus Little League team travels to state championship

It was sixty years ago this week that the first Columbus Little League All-Star team claimed a Kansas State Championship.

The Columbus boys swept the state tournament in beating Scott City before winning the championship by topping the host Olathe 4-2 in the finale.
