A prison sentence of 195 months was handed down to Bradley Paul Shoemaker, 28, of Baxter Springs in Cherokee County District Court Monday, August 28.
The sentence comes after Shoemaker pleaded guilty earlier this summer to one count of rape for engaging in unlawful sexual acts with a child under the age of 14 during the winter of 2019.
