Food for all taste buds available on the midway at Fair
Candy, pretzels, sno cones and more are available on the midway at the Cherokee County Fair. Or stop by the Lions Shack, Corn dog stand or Girl Scout House for heartier fare. There are also various food trucks and vendors on site. Don’t forget the funnel cakes.
Among the food choices at the Cherokee County Fair is the popular (and famous) corn dog stand operated by First Christian Church.
When talking about food at the Cherokee County Fair, attendees should not forget about the dessert auction and ice cream social. Head over to the arena Wednesday night. Awards, coronation and Fair Buddies begins at 6 p.m. followed by the annual bidding war for desserts and then the ice cream social.
Some folks go to the fair for the carnival rides, some to look over the livestock, and some just to visit with friends and neighbors.
But, everyone goes to the Cherokee County Fair for one thing.
The Food.
There is something extra special about the food served at the fair.
The First Christian Church’s Corn Dogs, the Girl Scouts Slaw Burgers, the Lions Club’s Cook Shack cheeseburgers.
