Cooper Paxson’s Market Beef was purchased by Crossland Construction Company represented by Brad Wells at the 4-H Premium Auction Saturday. Paxson’s beef brought in a high bid of $3,100.
Allison Brown’s Grand Champion rabbits were purchased by Between Rivers Gun Range for $1,500 at the Cherokee County 4-H Premium Sale Saturday night.
A week of showing, feeding, cleaning and caring for animals came to an end Saturday with the final event of the Cherokee County Fair.
The annual 4-H, HYA and FFA Livestock Premium Auction netted just $82,950 in premiums paid despite the increase in number of animals sold. Last year exhibitors saw $87,400 in premiums across only 66 animals sold.
