The Columbus Babe Ruth League hosted the Kansas District 5 Tournament Saturday and Sunday on Bomber Field in the Columbus Community Field Ball Park. The local team was runner-up in the district following a championship loss to Frontenac, 15 to 2.
Columbus opened their play in the tournament with an 11-9, win over Fort Scott in Game 2, Saturday afternoon.
