The Galena Bulldogs left for Hutchinson and the Kansas Class 3A State Basketball Championship last week with an undefeated record and goal of bringing home their first state title. But after a close, 38--35, win in their quarterfinal match, the Bulldogs lost a pair of heartbreakers in the semifinal and consolation/ third place games, settling for fourth place in state and a 24-2 season record.
