Titan Senior, Korbyn Newberry, won four matches on the mat and received one forfeit in the Columbus Duals Tournament, Saturday, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Korbyn had two wins by pin, a technical fall, 20-3, and a major decision, 9-1, in the ten-team, round-robin formatted tournament.
The Columbus Unified High School Titans won three out of five duals and lost two by a total of five points to finish third in the Columbus Duals Tournament, Saturday, at the CUHS Gymnasium.
The Titans beat Miami, Okla., 41-31; took down Nevada, Mo., 62-18; and earned a 47-22 win over Joplin, Mo.
Coffeyville got past the Titans, 40-36, and Caney Valley edged their hosts by one point, 39-38.
