Busy summer planned for Titan Football

The Columbus Titan Football Team has a busy summer set with team camps, conditioning, and hosting young players for camp. The most recent schedule has been released by Titan Head Coach, Blake Burns and is subject to change.

Cal Ripken T-ball continues tonight

Columbus Cal Ripken T-Ball continues tonight with Mid-America Pipe and Jay Hatfield Motor Sports facing off on the T-Ball Field at the Columbus Community Field Ball Park at 6 p.m.Their is a possibility for a make-up game if needed, but no game is necessary as of press time.

Jr. Babe Ruth games underway

The Columbus Babe Ruth League began their summer schedule Tuesday on Bomber Field at the Community Field Ball Park with the local team hosting Parsons for a double header.Last night Fredonia was scheduled to be in Columbus for game two of the young season.

CNC golfers advance at state

The Frontenac Raider Golf Team and members of the St. Mary’s-Colgan Team will represent the CNC League in round two of the Kansas State High School Championship Golf Tournaments as they extended play due to weather earlier in the week.

Weather delays have caused havoc for the Columbus Cal Ripken League, with rain and threats of stormy conditions postponing or delaying starts of may games. After what seemed to be a cancellation, Tuesday, the 12U Major League Teams were able to squeeze in a double header.

The 2024 Junior Golf Season begins today with the first clinic of the year at Brush Creek Golf Course. USD 493 students and student members of Brush Creek ages six and up may participate without a fee.Clinics will be today, Thursday, and May 28.

Adoremos takes third in NASP State archery

Kayelynn Adoremos, Central Elementary Fifth Grader, placed third in the NASP Archery State Tournament that was held in Hutchinson recently. Kayelynn scored 252 out of 300 in her elementary division.
