Volleyball hosting fundraiser 5K run

The CUHS Lady Titan Volleyball Team has set up a fundraiser, 5K run as part of the Get Fit 5K Series.The Dig & Run Race will take place Saturday, April 20, with registrations currently open.

The Titan Junior Varsity Squad lost their home opener, March 25, at Bomber Field, 7-11, to the Coffeyville Golden Tornados.The Golden Tornados opened by earning their first three runs with the first three batters in the three runs or three outs format game.

CUHS Baseball makeup today

The Titan Varsity Baseball games with Baxter Springs have been rescheduled for today on Bomber Field at the Community Field Ball Park. The CNC League opener was scheduled for Monday in Columbus and had to be rescheduled due to impending weather.The double header make-up games will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Lady Titans sweep Baxter Springs

The Columbus Lady Titans swept the Baxter Springs Lady Lions in a CNC League Varsity double header, Tuesday, at Rockette Field in Columbus.Junior, Hailey Ediger, tossed the first game to a 6-0 shutout with 13 strikeouts in seven innings.

The Columbus Junior High Track Boys Track Team swept the throwing events at the Galena Junior High Quad, Tuesday, in Galena.

Lady Titan seventh wins at Galena

The Columbus Seventh Grade Lady Titan Track Team placed first in the Galena Quadrangular Meet, Tuesday, in Galena. Columbus outscored Baxter Springs 111 to 107 to win the team championship. Tatum Clark took first place in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 7:46.

The Columbus Lady Titans avenged a Monday loss with a Thursday win over the Labette County Lady Grizzlies, 11-1. Monday, on a trip to Altamont, the Lady Titans were defeated, 3-7, in a come-back win for the home team.
