Lady Titan, 3-8 Volleyball Camp

The Columbus Lady Titan Volleyball Team will host a month-long camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays for USD 493 students in grades 3-8, beginning Monday, February 19. The first day of camp is being held on Monday due to home high school basketball games, Tuesday. Grades three-five will meet from 5:30 p.

Riverton overpowers Columbus Titans

The Riverton Rams increased their win record to 10-3, after overpowering the Columbus Titans, 7251, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gym. The Rams put points on the scoreboard first and continued to build on that lead throughout the game.

Spikers Camp for second graders

Volleyball Camp for USD493 students in the Afterschool Program and all second graders will be held at the Central School Round Top Gym, February 19 through March 8. The camp is being hosted by the Columbus Unified High School Lady Titan Volleyball Team. Camp will run from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lady Titans get home win over Riverton

The Columbus Lady Titans even their record against Riverton with a home win, Tuesday, 45-38, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Columbus lost an earlier match-up in Riverton to the Lady Rams. Senior Point Guard for Riverton, Chloe Parker, was injured in the first half and sat out the final two quarters.

Mini Titans to host Colgan Saturday

The Columbus Recreation Mini Titan Basketball Teams will host Colgan tomorrow for league games. Three gymnasiums will be used for games beginning at 9 a.m. There will be a three dollar fee for adults. Students are free. Concessions are available at all locations. CUHS Gym 9 a.m.

Winter Homecoming candidates

Candidates for the 2024 Winter Homecoming Court have been chosen at Columbus Unified High School. Senior class queen candidates are: Madelyn Garcia, Reese Grundy, Katie Simpson, and Grace Noel. Escorts for the ceremony are: Slade Parker, Cole Youngblood, Jon Smith, and Huck Hallam.

Frontenac wins homecoming bout

The Frontenac Lady Raiders doubled their score in the third quarter to take a homecoming win over the visiting Columbus Lady Titans, Friday, in Frontenac. Junior, Brylie Johnson and senior, Ava Harman, gave Columbus and early 6-3 lead from the threepoint line.

Titans split last home triangular

The Columbus Titans split their final home double dual of the season, Thursday, taking a 57-198 win over Parsons and losing to Cherryvale, 33-40, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Senior, Dallas Scott, was recognized during the evening as the only senior on the Titan Wrestling Team.

Shade Schuberger

Shade Schuberger, freshman, took a 10-9 decision over his Parsons opponent, Fernando Zacarias, in Thursday’s home triangular match at the CUHS Gymnasium. Shade won by fall over Cherryvale’s Jace Essig in his second match of the night.

Lady Titan Jr. Varsity loses in two at Frontenac

The Lady Titan Junior Varsity Squad lost to Frontenac in two quarters played Friday in Frontenac. Columbus Freshman, Laney Atkinson, scored all for points in the first quarter while the Lady Raiders scored 11 points for an early lead.
