The Columbus Lady Titans opened their regular season schedule last night with a varsity double header at Baxter Springs in a CNC League match-up. Returning seniors for the Lady Titans this season are Mackenzie Richards, Adalie Grafel, Trinity Green, Katelyn Draeger, and Morgan Richards. The Lady Titan JV will host Baxter Springs today at Rockette Field in the Community Field Ball Park. The varsity home opener will be Monday with a varsity/junior varsity double header with Labette County. Games begin at 4:30

Columbus Titan Senior, Jett Tanner, took the mound in relief during game one and game three of the Wyandotte Baseball Festival, Thursday and Saturday, played in Seneca, Mo. The Titans came up short against Seneca in game one, 8-1, and in game three against Dibble, Okla., 5-1. When not on the mound, Jett is making catches and robbing bases in left field.

Columbus Titan Senior, Jett Tanner, is a familiar face in left field for the Titans the last three years where he disappointed many a batter by making the catch or the play from his position. During a morning practice, Wednesday, Jett was covering third base for team fielding drills. He will be in the starting line up for Columbus for his senior campaign.
