The Columbus Titan Wrestling Team captured the Kansas Class 4A Regional C Runner-up plaque in Paola, Saturday. Three Titans came away with regional champion titles and three placed third to advance to the state tournament. Titan of the Week

Titan Junior, Carter Woodcock, ran down an errant Lion pass and drove in for a layup to knot the game, 46-46 with 36 seconds left on the game clock. Baxter Spring Junior, Caleb Grant, did his best to catch Carter but was too late. The Lions had held the lead since halfway through the third quarter but Columbus completed the comeback win, 48-46.

Lady Titan Senior, Trinity Green, goes up for a basket between the outstretched arms of senior, Mya Vestal and junior, Layla Weaver, in the 39-20, Columbus win, Tuesday, at the CUHS Gymnasium.

Titan Sophomore, Jonas Stover, goes up for the goahead basket with 1:32 on the game clock. Jonas made the and-one free throw for a two-point, 47-45, lead in the 50-47 win over Galena, Thursday at the CUHS Gymnasium.
