Rece Ponce received a Football Scholarship from Butler Community College in the amount of $12,000 during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Assembly, May 16, at the CUHS Gymnasium. The scholarship was presented by USD 493 Instructor, Matt Crain.

Carter Henry received three scholarships from Evangel University during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Assembly, May 16, at the CUHS Gymnasium. He received a $14,000 Academic Scholarship, a $3,000 Football Scholarship, and a $1,000 Sibling Scholarship from presenter, Matt Crain, USD 493 Instructor.

Emily Britt received a Wrestling Scholarship from Ottawa University in the amount of $72,000 during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Assembly, May 16, at the CUHS Gymnasium. The scholarship was presented by Brandy Pierce, USD 493 Instructor.

Brandon Stice received three scholarships from Wichita State University during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Assembly, May 16, at the CUHS Gym. He was awarded the Stucky Business Scholarship for $21,256, the Morrison Mer-it Scholarship for $14,000, and the DSI Semi-Finalist Scholarship for $4,000. Hailey Ediger received two scholarships from Hutchinson Community College to play softball during the Columbus Unified High School Senior Assembly, May 16, at the CUHS Gymnasium. She received $4,052 books, tuition, and fees scholarship and $2,000 housing scholarship from presenter, Karen Langerot, USD 493 Instructor.

Seniors receiving scholarship awards from Kansas University during the Senior Assembly, May 16, at the Columbus Unified High School Gymnasium are Mallory Thompson, Chancellors Scholarship in the amount of $20,000 and a KU Woodwinds, Brass, and Percussion Scholarship for $10,000. Anna Head received a Chancellors Scholarship for $20,000; Kenadie Carter received a Chancellors Scholarship for $20,000; and Jazmyn Goff received a GPA Scholarship for East Asia Foreign Language and Culture Study for $4,000.

A Columbus Girls Softball Team, the Havoc, took second place in a one-day tournament Saturday in Chanute.
