Titan Junior, Levi Simpson, set a new school record in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 1:59.1 minutes, surpassing the 2009 mark of 2:01.66 minutes set in 2009 by Wade Robinson. The time was good enough for second place in the large school meet, Thad Clements Invitational at Chanute, Friday.

Colgan wins four on the diamonds

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers and Lady Panthers took double header wins over the Columbus Titans and Lady Titans, May 4 in Pittsburg.The Titans evened their season at 11-11 as they enter regional play tomorrow at Iola with the two losses, 1-8 and 1-5.

Three Columbus Future Farmers of America judging teams participated in the Kansas State FFA judging competition and came away with three top ten finishes. They are being recognized as Titans of the Week.

Titans second at home tournament

The Columbus Junior High Titan Golf Team wrapped up their season with a second place finish at the Columbus Invitational tournament, Tuesday, at Brush Creek Golf Course. The home team finished with a six-man total of 209 strokes. Parsons won the team title with a 200 stroke total.

CJHS relay team sets two records

The CJHS Eighth Grade Relay Team of Blaze Bowman, Cord Saporito, Elijah Shoemaker, and Hayden Kellogg broke their own school record in the 4x400 Meter Relay and set a new mark in the 4x200 Meter Relay at the CCCJ League Meet, April 30, at Frontenac.
