The Columbus Chamber of Commerce Community Impact Award was presented to the Methodist Church Thrift Shop at the Chamber’s annual dinner January 29. In presenting the award, Rebecca Spooner said, “the shop does so much for this community and brings in people from all over to shop.” Accepting the award were Judy Leighty and Anita Davolt.

The New Business of the Year Award was presented to the Life in Bloom & Company. In a revitalized building on Maple Street Nate and Casey Long transformed a former Pizza shop in a beautiful coffee bar and flower shoppe. They also have homemade items from the community. It has become the coffee stop for much of the community.
