The Columbus, 223, Lady Titans, picked up their second shutout of the Kansas Class 3A Regional Tournament over the host Riverton Lady Rams Team, 10-0 in the semifinal contest. The squad blanked Girard in the quarterfinal, Monday, 10-0, on the Riverton High School Softball Diamond.

The Frontenac Raiders came from behind in the bottom of the seventh inning to steal the Kansas Class 3A Regional Baseball Title from the number one seeded, Riverton Rams, 7-4, in Caney, Tuesday. The Rams, 18-7, eliminated Girard, 5-15, in the regional quarterfinal, 11-1 then took down Galena, 11-11, in the semi-final round, 5-1, to move into the championship contest with Frontenac.

The Columbus Lady Titans won their Kansas Class 3A Regional Quarterfinal game, 10-0, in five innings over the Girard Lady Trojans, Monday in Riverton. The Lady Titans entered the tournament as the second seed with a 21-3 record.

The Frontenac Lady Raiders put four runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning and held on for the 6-2, win over the Columbus Lady Titans in the Kansas Class 3A Regional championship, Wednesday, in Riverton.

The Columbus Titan Golf Team punched their ticket to the Kansas Class 3A State Tournament by placing second at the Frontenac Regional, Tuesday, at the Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg. The Titans tallied 370 combined strokes as the regional runner- up behind Frontenac who took first with a 350 team total.

The Southeast Track and Field Team had five Three Rivers League Champions at the end of the league meet, May 9. The boys 4x800 Meter Relay of Hudson Locke, Emery Wilbert, Colton Jameson, and Zayne Gabern took the win for the league title as well as Wilbert running away with the 400 Meter Dash gold medal.

The Columbus Lady Titan Junior Varsity Team closed out their 2024 season with a double header sweep of Frontenac, Thursday, on Rockette Field in the Columbus Community Field Ball Park. The Lady Titans took game one of the three runs or three outs contest by a score of 9-6 and won the second game, 10-7.

Riverton, Galena, Baxter Springs, and Frontenac advanced to represent the CNC League in the Kansas Class 3A Caney Valley Tournament. The four semi-finalists eliminated Cherryvale, Caney Valley, Girard, and Columbus in the regional quarterfinal games Wednesday and Thursday.
