    With the help of some very hefty donations such as the check for $500 from the Baxter Springs Kiwanis Club Vice President Bradley Cox, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department will soon have its own K-9 Unit. Sheriff’s Deputy Rex Qualls was selected to be the K-9 handler for the department.
