Columbus Public Library Hours

The Columbus Public Library will be open to the public, with a five person limit. Mondays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday 9 a.m-6 p.m. Thursdays 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Fridays 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon. Curbside service will be available upon request.

Teacher places first in Race Across Kansas

25 Years Ago Nov. 27 – Dec 3, 1997 Columbus schools can boast of fast teachers. Linda Parker, a sixth grade instructor at Central Junior High was first place winner in the age 36-49 women’s division in the Race Across Kansas, a half-marathon event on old route 66 between Baxter Springs and Galena.

The bible says that “hope deferred makes the heart sick.” A heart without hope is very sick and we can lose hope for many reasons, some of which are rejection, hurt and grief, exhaustion and even long periods of waiting for God’s promises.
