Firefighters raise funds for fireworks

CNC Music festival returns to Baxter Springs High School

The CNC League Music festival returned to the Baxter Springs High School after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They did hold the CNC League Music in 2021, but it was all on-line via video. Baxter Springs has been the host of the CNC Music Festival for many years.

LCC alumni hosting 23rd annual auction April 30

The Labette Community College (LCC) Foundation and Alumni Association will be hosting the 23rd annual Auction for Scholarships on Saturday, April 30 as an in-person event. This year’s auction, “Sun, Sand & Scholarships” will feature live and silent auction items, dinner, cash drawings and more.

Christian Music icon TobyMac Performs at Kansas State Fair

TobyMac, a veteran artist synonymous with contemporary Christian music, is bringing his high-energy style of Christian hip-hop/rock/rap to the Nex-Tech Grandstand at the Kansas State Fair September 14.

The Columbus Public Library will be open to the public, with a five person limit. Mondays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday 9 a.m-6 p.m. Thursdays 9 a.m.-6 a.m. Fridays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon. Curbside service will be available upon request.
