The most unusual attraction of the parade was a giant long horn steer being ridden by Debbie Welch. The animal is owned by Debbie and Les Welch of Columbus.
Nothing draws a crowd like the availability of free food, and for the past 90 years that has been the major drawing card of the Weir Homecoming. This year however, an added attraction was the 150 birthday of the community.
The close knit family has had ups and downs, but still today is a community that continues to thrive and still continues to rebound.
