At a ceremony held August 9, Jim Day was presented with a Quilt of Valor for his service in the Army. Day served from 1969-2005. His duty stations included Fort Ord, Calif., Fort Carson, Colo., Fort Riley, Fort Benning, Ga. (War college). During that time he was Commander Region F Officers Candidate School for nine states, was a Drill Sergeant, was an Officer for 27 years.
