The large KAMO electric lines crossing Cherokee County were given a ten year exemption on property taxes, granted by the state, when they were built.
This past week Cherokee County received a check from KAMO for $73,393.77 for the final inlieu tax payment.
The County Commissioners are now expecting the transmission lines to go on the property tax rolls.
