The Kansas Historic Route 66 Association now has available collectable coins recognizing the Route 66 Centennial. According to the committee these coins will make wonderful gifts and souvenirs of the Route 66’s 100th anniversary. Courtesy photo.
Friday at 1 p.m. a ribbon cutting will be held at the Rainbow Bridge following a sand blasting and painting of the 100 year old structure. This is the last bridge of this type in existence and will be a popular spot during the centennial of Route 66 in 2026.
