A Quilt of Valor was presented to PO3 Eric Loftgard July 15, at the Baxter Springs American Legion. Loftgard served as a Seabee 1965-1968 and did three tours in Vietnam. His duty stations in Vietnam included Rosemary Point at Chu lia, as part of an advance party to support the 3rd Marines, then moved on to Gia lea and later on to Ten mi and on the area referred to as the Cornfield at Tu qui. He received many medals, but he considers the Meritorious Service Medal from Vietnam the most important to him. Court
