James William “Bill” Van Kam, 79, South Greenfield, Mo., died Monday, September 22, 2025, in his home.
Born in Weir December 6, 1945, Bill was the son of Frank and Grace Van Kam. He was the eighth of nine children.
Bill was renowned for his quick wit and deep love for his family. He served his country proudly as a Vietnam vet. Bill married the love of his life, Teresa Yates December 30, 1977. They made their home in Greenfield, Mo.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and six siblings, Mildred Genser, Margaret Ross, Frances Thompson, Frank Van Kam Jr., Anna Uber and Dora Friend.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa; two daughters, Emily Van Kam and Candace Van Kam; four grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Malaki and Makayli; three greatgrandchildren, Alejandro, John, and Ryder; two siblings, Emile Van Kam and Vikki Zaccarello.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
