Communities celebrate military personnel on Veterans Day
Crews with the City of Columbus made sure all of the flags were on display for Veterans Day.
Columbus High School celebrated area veterans with breakfast and a program. Hannah Noel and Amory Neely presented the flags as band director Gae Phillips looks on.
The Columbus High School vocal music department performed during the assembly held at CHS for Veterans Day. Military personnel from each of the branches were recognized during the ceremony.
Baxter Springs High School Band under the direction of Louis Morgan performed during the Veterans Day Parade Saturday, November 8. The band also performed during the program held at the Veterans Memorial after the parade.

Without Trish Cox, Bailey Schultz, Kimberly Henson and Randi Pinnegar, the Veterans breakfast would not have been possible. The ladies worked hard to make sure each person would have a hearty breakfast.
