Current Columbus Librarian Lauren Dainty has changed the library into more than a place to get a book. She has developed programs for youngsters on a regular basis. The above photo was taken during her first year.
With the recent grant to the Columbus Library from the Carnegie Foundation, attention is once again called to the 112 year old facility which has served the community all those years.
However, it is not buildings that serve but people. Therefore those who have guided the Columbus Library through the past 112 years, the librarians, deserve recognition.
