The courthouse Christmas Tree lights were turned on Wednesday evening just before the parade. It was donated this year by Betty White and lights were installed by Cody Burton. According to Betty the tree was planted in the early 1960’s by her two sons Michael and John Edd and their father John L. White. It eventually blocked the view of the entrance of their drive.
