Christa Warlop was chosen as the Outstanding Elementary Educator of the year by SEK KMEA. Walrop has taught music at George Nettels Elementary in Pittsburg for 17 years. To receive the award an instructor must have taught for 10 years. During Warlop’s time at George Nettels, she has had 34 observers or student teachers. Walrop is a graduate of Columbus High School.
