A Galena police officer was conducting a traffic stop for a defective head light and failing to signal at Seventh and Cornwall, around midnight Tuesday, May 11.
The driver, was identified as 38 year old Scotty Smith of Pittsburg. A license check with the Department of Motor Vehicles came back as a suspended license.
