West Mineral school reunion held

  • During the West Mineral all school reunion held Saturday at Big Brutus Park six members of the West Mineral Class of 1956 were visiting together. The class members included with their current residence Lynn Turner, Wichita; John White, Columbus; John Battitori, Girard; Ed Vanderbeck, Cherokee; Bob Grant, Scammon; Paul Bennett, Ozark, Missouri. Also sitting behind the classmates are spouses Linda Grant and Mary Bennett.

  • The youngest alumni attending the West Mineral schools was Stephanie Miller, who graduated from the eighth grade in West Mineral. She was also part of the serving crew at the luncheon.

    The annual West Mineral all school reunion really includes all schools from first grade to high school graduation. This week-end about the events were attended by about 45 former students in the school district that has been gone for more than a quarter of a century.
