The Cherokee County Economic Development Commission recognized four local businesses for the contributions to the county and it’s growth and development. The awards included Sally Davis, Davis Real Estate, Larry Hiatt, Columbus News-Report, Jerry Derfelt, Derfelt Funeral Homes and Dr. Kayla Riggs of Riggs Chiropractic.
Columbus city officers were recognized as important partners during the US 69 Association Annual meeting held Wednesday night at the Crestwood Country Club Wednesday Night. Mayor Grant Spieth and Streets and Park Supervisor Randy Coble attended the meeting. Economic Development Director Janet Miller and board member Burt Kellum, Baxter Springs also attended.
