Saporito earns NAIA All-American honors

Ottawa University Freshman, Addison Saporito, earned the distinction of NAIA Women’s Scholar All-American in a recent announcement made by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).

2024 CUHS Seniors recognized

Lady Titan Senior, Madelyn Garcia, was recognized during Senior Night Ceremonies, February 20, at the CUHS Gymnasium. Madelyn is a four-year member of the Lady Titan Wrestling Team, the Basketball Cheer Squad and the CUHS Dance Team. She was escorted by her parents, Melissa and Eric Garcia.

Grizzlies topple Junior Titans

The Columbus Junior Varsity Baseball Team lost their home game to Labette County, 6-9, Monday at Bomber Field.In the three runs or three outs format, the visiting Grizzly Team, put up three runs in the top of the first inning.

Titans fall in LC comeback win

The Columbus Titans had an 8-1 lead after three innings in their home game with Labette County, Monday, before giving up 18 runs on 10 hits, 11 walks, and seven errors, suffering a 14-19 loss to their former SEK League rival.

Lady Titans give up win to Labette

The Columbus Lady Titans allowed four runs in the fourth inning on the road in Altamont resulting in their first loss of the season to the Lady Grizzlies, 7-3.

Welch back-to-back state champion

Lady Titan Senior, Lizzy Welch, won the PWT Division at the Kansas Class 3A Powerlifting Competition, Saturday, for the second straight year.Her quest for the title included improving on the state record she set last year in the Squat Lift, increasing the weight to 425 pounds.

Lions sign with Red Ravens

Baxter Springs Lion Quarterback, Payton Gaines, and wide receiver, Javen Alexander signed National Letters of Inent to play football for the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Football Team in the Fall of 2024.

McGlothlin to play for Pirates

Riverton Ram Senior, Derek McGlothlin, has chosen to further his football career with the Independence Community College Pirates. Derek is shown at the signing with assistant coach, Adam Babcock and Coach, Danny Weaver. He is the son of Kris and Laura McGlothlin.

Titan of the Week

Lady Titan Senior, Lizzy Welch, reestablshed her state record in the Squat Lift on her way to winning the PWT Division at the Kansas Class 3A Powerlifting Competition, Saturday, for the second straight year. She is being recognized as Titan of the Week.
