The Columbus Junior Varsity Squad took two wins in the CNC League double header over Girard, April 7 at Rockette Field in the Columbus Community Field Ball Park, 9-8 and 9-7.Both teams scored three runs in the first inning.

The Columbus Junior Varsity Golf Team did not play in the Labette County JV Tournament, Thursday, due to weather conditions. No make-up date will be scheduled.The Titan Baseball varsity double header against the Coffeyville Golden Tornado was also canceled by wet field conditions.

Bowman, 4x200M Relay win gold

Blaze Bowman, eighth grade hurdler and the Columbus Junior High Seventh Grade 4x200 Meter Relay Team of Kasen Sallee, Wyatt Linn, Lydon Atkinson, and Kaid Tanner, took first place in the Girard Invitational, one of the toughest meets in the area, Thursday. Blaze ran a personal best (PB) time of 15.

Former Lady Titan All-CNC and All-State Pitcher, Graci Major, is working hard in the circle at Seminole State College for the Lady Trojans.
The Columbus Junior High Golf Team placed second in the Galena Invitational Tournament, Thursday, at Schifferdecker Golf Course. Team members are: Caden Stark, Jake Wary, Trevor Lacen, Kip Saporito, Tymber Newberry, Ally Walters, Raelee Engroff, and Raygen Spoonemore. The teams top four scorecards totaled 246 combined points. Baxter Springs High School Dual Sport Athlete, Cole Parrish, has had a successful week on the links and on the track. Monday the sophomore led the Lion Golf Team to a first place team finish on his home course in Baxter Springs Invitational as the individual medalist.

Titan Freshman, Jace Gaither, set a new Columbus Unified High School record in the Shot Put event at the 60th Annual Lester Garber Relays in Riverton, Tuesday. Gaither placed second in the event with a personal best record (PR) toss off 51’9” to set his newest record.
