Titan Freshman, Jace Gaither, surpassed his second long-standing, track record of the young season by setting a new mark in the Shot Put at Riverton’s 60th Annual Lester Garber Relays. The previous record was nearly as old as the event itself, set in 1968 by Pat Flanagan at 49 feet, eight inches. Kaitlyn Simpson, Sophomore, Seminole State College, Seminole, Okla. was named the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Division I Player of the Week earlier this month.The Columbus Unified High School Graduate was recognized April 8 by the NJCAA.
The Columbus Junior High School Golfers came away from the Pittsburg Invitational Tournament with a third place, team finish. The three Lady Titans placed in the top ten of the girls division, and Jace Mooney took fourth place in the boys division. Three Lady Titan Golfers placed in the top ten at the Pittsburg Junior High Golf Invitational, Monday, at Four Oaks Golf Course. Tyler Kirk led the way shooting a 48 for the Titans in third place of the girls division.

Titan Senior, Jett Tanner, took the mound in relief during the Columbus sweep over Galena, Monday, at Bomber Field. Jett closed out the final two innings of the game one shut out, 10-0, collecting three strike outs and allowing no hits and no runs. He threw one pitch in the night cap for the fly out to centerfield to seal the 3-1 win for the sweep.

Titans sweep non-conference games at Cherryvale

The Columbus Titans came away with a non-conference sweep, 1-0 and 129, in a double-header road trip to Cherryvale, Thursday.Junior, Carter Woodcock, threw a complete game in the 1-0, game-one, win for the Titans. He allowed two hits and two walks with no runs scored.

Titan JV plays in Mickey Mantle Classic

The Columbus Titan Junior Varsity Baseball Team participated in 2026 Mickey Mantle Classic Baseball Tournament, Friday and Saturday. The Titans were set to play Arcadia Valley from Ironton, Mo. at 10 a.m. followed by Grove, Okla. at noon Friday. But mother nature had a different plan.

Lady Titans score 27 in double header win

The Columbus Lady Titan offense exploded for 27 runs in their double header win over Cherryvale, Thursday, in Cherryvale.Columbus used five runs in the top of the fifth inning in game one to shorten the game from seven innings to six in a 14-1 win.

Titan Golfers in Twin Hills Tourney

The Titan Golf Team played their second tournament of the season, April 6, at the Twin Hills Golf Course in Joplin, Mo. Junior, Easton Long led the Titans on the day with a round of 90.Columbus did not place any golfers in the medal standings.
