The Columbus Recreation Commission Fourth Grade Boy’s Basketball Team took two wins in Riverton, Saturday. The team is one of the participating Columbus League Teams that will be in action tomorrow at the CUHS and the Central School Gymnasiums beginning at 8 a.m. Team members are: Wyatt Patton, Bryson Delmont, Jaxsyn Robinson, Lee Snow, Phoenix Rider, Gus Garrison, Westin Patton, and Kamden Sallee. Rec Commission hosting league games

The Columbus Recreation Basketball League will be at home tomorrow for games against Baxter Springs.The league had a successful weekend in Riverton, including the fourth grade boys team taking two wins, 8-3 and 10-7.Lee Snow scored seven points and Phoenix Rider, one point in the first game.

Bowman, Smith first at Bobcat Classic

New Heights edges Columbus in Classic

A second half lull in offense by the Columbus Lady Titans allowed New Heights Christian Academy to come from a 17-24 deficit and edge the local favorite, 39-36, Tuesday, in the opening round of the Lancer Classic Tournament in Cherokee.

Rams win round one of Lancer Classic

The Columbus Titans got a rematch of their pre-Christmas Break loss in Riverton when they were paired against the Rams in the Lancer Classic Tournament Monday at Southeast High School. The Rams came out strong and never let off the gas as they took the win, 74-55.

Titan Sophomore, Mason O’Banion, improved his record to 16-1 on the season with a win in the 175-pound weight class at the Basehor-Linwood Bobcat Classic, Friday and Saturday in Bashor.

Columbus wins Arkansas dual

The Columbus Titans traveled to Arkansas to take on Shiloh Christian School in a wrestling dual. They came away with a 36-27 win with four victories on the mat and three wins by forfeits.MasonO’Banion,Kash Smith, Shade Schuberger, and Cash Romstedt won their matches against Shiloh Christian School.
