All school reunion scheduled for 2023

Reservations come in weekly for the 2023 Columbus All School Reunion. The CCCHS, CCRHS and CUHS All School Reunion is scheduled for June 30, July 1 and 2, 2023, to be held at the State Theatre Event Center in Columbus. Has your class sent out information to your classmates?

Steven Bankey and The Flatlander’s is a red dirt country band out of Kansas City, Mo. They will hit the bandstand Friday of Fair Week. Heavily influenced by the grassroots country music movement originating in southern parts of Texas and Oklahoma.

Five active 4-H clubs in Cherokee County

Cherokee County has five community clubs at the present time. Shamrock was chartered in 1947. Current leaders of the club are Michele Hamilton and Scott Pritchett. Spring Valley Sparklers was chartered in 1948 and their leaders are Raven Elmore, Ragena Duling and Josie Welch.

The 4-H and Open Swine show will kick off the judging Wednesday of Fair Week, the pigs being first in the arena might coincide because pork was the most popular meat found on the pioneer farm table. Meat, not bread was the staff of life for Frontier farmers.
