When “Jesus wept” he connects with us. Loss, suffering, pain, agony of the heart. He feels pain and we rejoice. His weeping comforts us. His tears show his love for us. We have a sinful nature but we are loved.
“Jesus wept”. We also can weep and mourn loss. It is not sinful. It is not doubting. It is not downplaying the promised resurrection. Loss just hurts, hurts a lot.
