Terracy Kirsch, a senior at CUHS, received first place for hand drawing at the Independence Community College competition. Crystal Arellano, also a CUHS senior, was the Gold Key winner at the Kansas Scholastic Art Awards competition. The students are instructed by John Smittle and Patty Jessee, both teachers at CUHS.
