Dipping green beans kept Debbie Messer busy Saturday morning first in the to go orders then serving those present at the Annual Community dinner.
The last thing on the plate is Bill Jones’ “famous” gravy dipped hot from the kettle. Volunteer Rylie Oehme was carrying the to go orders to each of the servers before passing the dish to the delivery volunteers.
The Columbus Area Community Foundation recently presented a $25,000 dollar check to the Columbus museum for the new sports addition. Columbus Area Community Foundation members Christine Parsons, Jamie Robinson, Kelly Walters, and Maddy Foster were on hand as museum board members Anita Davolt, Ron Holmes and Ella Buzzard accepted the check. The trial of former Neosho County prosecutor Linus Thuston ended last week when jurors couldn’t agree on whether he had lied under oath about meeting secretly with off-thebooks confidential informants.Thuston faced felony charges of perjury and misdemeanor charges of witness intimidation in the case.
