Candidates for Little Mr. and Miss Columbus will gather on the courthouse steps Friday, October 8 to hear the announcement of the grand prize winners. Last year’s contestants included (not in order) Elle Jesse (Little Miss Columbus), Grayson Davis (Little Mr. Columbus), Archer Stover, Lauren Smith, Olivia Weber, Lana Kloer, Kasey Rowe and Leo Clark. The announcement will be made at approximately 5:30 p.m. during the Columbus Day Bean Feed.
Little Miss Columbus Elle Jessee and Little Mr. Columbus Grayson Davis were crowned at last year’s ceremony. Both youngsters also won motorized vehicles. Funds raised during the contest go toward entertainment for Columbus Day.
The 2021 Little Mr. and Miss Columbus will be crowned the evening of October 8, on the Cherokee County courthouse steps around 5:30 p.m. during the Columbus Day Festival Bean Feed, sponsored by Commerce Bank. Labette Bank is handling the Little Mr. and Miss Columbus crowning.
