Galena wins three jr. high bouts

The Galena Lady Bulldogs swooped into Columbus Tuesday and took three matches from the Columbus Junior High School Volleyball Team in their seventh-grade inaugural matches, 15-25; 19-25 7A and 23-25; 19-25 7B, and the first 8B game of the season, 22-25; 25-21; 5-15.

CJHS 8A sweeps Galena

The Columbus Junior High School 8A Volleyball Team swept the visiting Galena Lady Bulldogs, 25-20; 25-19, in their first match of the season, Tuesday at the CUHS Gymnasium.The two sets were very evenly matched with the home team holding a slim advantage, 11-7, midway through the first rotation.

Southeast hosts JV Quad

The Southeast Lady Lancers hosted a junior varsity quadrangular meet, Tuesday, in Cherokee. Southeast went 2-1 on their home court against, Columbus, Neodesha, and Frontenac.The Lady Lancers lost their opener to Frontenac in two sets, 16-25; 22-25.

JV Volleyball opens at Southeast Quad

The Columbus Lady Titan Junior Varsity Squad opened their regular season schedule, Tuesday, at the Southeast High School JV Quad with Frontenac and Neodesha. The matches were close, but the Lady Titans came away with one set win and a 0-3 start to their season.

Lady Titans first in LCHS tourney

The Columbus Lady Titan Golf Team took top honors in their first outing of the season, Tuesday, in the Labette County High School Invitational Tournament held at the Oswego Golf Course. Their fourperson total was 195 for the win.

Three starters return for volleyball squad

The Columbus Lady Titan Varsity Volleyball Team has three returning starters for the 2024 season. They are hoping to keep the momentum of the 2023 season and build on it while welcoming a lot of new, younger players to the floor.
