SE football, volleyball jamboree

The Lady Lancer Volleyball Team and the Lancer Football Team will both be playing in Jamboree formatted scrimmages tonight.The volleyball team will be in Neodesha for their jamboree beginning at 5 p.m.

CJHS Cross Country boasts 10 runners

The Columbus Junior High Cross Country Team has ten junior runners the year.Carrie Napier Engroff begins her second year as the junior high coach for the Titans. “I am excited to see all the hard work and dedication our team has put into this cross country season,” Coach Engroff stated.

Meet the Titans Friday night

The Titan Booster Club Meet the Titan Night is being held Friday at the Columbus Unified High School Gymnasium.The night will kick off with a volleyball scrimmage at 5 p.m. with the varsity and junior varsity teams facing off first.

Final soccer sign-up Thursday

The final day for Columbus Youth Soccer Signups will be Thursday. Players may turn in their forms at the USD 493 Back to School Carnival at the Central School Campus.Students in grade pre-K through eighth had registration forms sent home from school last week.

2024 Mini Titan Football schedule

Games begin September 7. The Titans will play on the road in Frontenac. Flag football action starts Wednesday

Columbus Mini Football officials announce the beginning of the flag football program, Wednesday, at 6 p.m. at the Central School Soccer Field. There will be a parent meeting prior to the start of practice.Players should wear shorts and cleats and bring a drink.

Mini Titans on display at scrimmage

The Columbus Titan Mini Football Players took part in drills with the CUHS Titan Teams during the annual Lawn Chair Scrimmage, Saturday, at the Central School practice field.

Twelve Titan Seniors will lead the Columbus Squad on the gridiron this season. Anchoring the line on both sides of the ball will be all-league Carter Henry (not pictured), Maddox Ochsner (54), Jonah Smith (55), Austin Glover (66), Kyler Rahmeier (71), and Kanyen Smith (78).

Football districts change for 2024

The district football assignments for the 2024 and 2025 football seasons, have been set forth by the Kansas State High School Activities Association.

Early morning practice for Titans

Due to excessive heat the Columbus High School Football Team will practice at 6 a.m. at the Central practice field, Monday through Thursday, September 26-29.“We will be in full pads and attendance is mandatory,” stated Head Coach Blake Burns.
