Titan Football Camp Tuesday

Titan Football is hosting a camp for students entering grades 3-6, Tuesday and Wednesday. The camp will be from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. both days.The location for the camp is still to be determined pending field conditions.The cost of the camp is ten dollars and a guardian must be present to sign waiver.

Simpson unanimous 3A All-State

The Kansas Softball Coaches Association has announced its 2024 All-State All-Class Teams, listing Lady Titan Senior, Kaitlyn Simpson, as a unanimous Kansas Class 3A All-State First Team Outfielder.Graci Major, senior, was also named a first team selection at infielder by the association.

Columbus Bass Club anglers fare well in strip pit 41

Post front and post spawn conditions welcomed Columbus Bass Club Anglers. Tough fishing in Pit #41 was reported but the club had its biggest bag of the season and some quality bass caught. Jigs and plastic worms were reported the most for catching bass.

Titans run rule LC Grizzlies, 13-3

The Columbus Titans earned their second win in SEK Summer League play with a 13-3, run rule victory over the Labette County Grizzlies, Thursday, at Bomber Field.

Columbus Tops tourney champions

The Columbus 12 and Under Tops Team played in a tournament, June 1-2, in Jenks, Oklahoma and came home with championship rings for taking first place.The local ball players had six games to play on their way to the championship and came away with the win.

Columbus Rec hosts SEK Golf Tournament

The Columbus Rec Commission hosted the first SEK League tournament of the season, Thursday, at the Brush Creek Golf Course for the 10 and under age group.

Seasons winding down at ball park

The Girls Softball League wraps up their league games this week and Cal Ripken will finish up in two weeks at the Community Field Ball Park.Girls 8U plays at home tonight and Friday.The 10U and 12U divisions will play their final games Thursday.The 14U plays tonight and Friday on Rockette Field.

Carpino, Wary first in Oswego Jr. Golf

Cali Carpino, 13-14, and Natalie Wary, 15 and over, took first place in the SEK League Tournament held in Oswego, Thursday.Members of the Columbus Recreation Junior Golf Program in the nine and over age groups split from the younger players to compete in Oswego.

Grace Noel was offered and accepted six scholarships for a total of $111,050.

Columbus Rec Jr. Golf winners

The Columbus Recreation Junior Golf Program completed three days of clinics with a golf tournament for those players taking part in at least one day of the clinic instruction.Girls and boys ages 6 to 15+ converged on the links at Brush Creek Golf Course for a program tournament, May 30.
