CJHS earns four golds in Frontenac

A cold, rainy day produced four gold medals for the Columbus Junior High School Track and Field Team in Frontenac, April 18. The eighth grade boys placed fourth in team standings with Cole Howard taking first place in the 100 meter and the 400 meter dashes and Kash Smith winning the discus.

Titans to meet at Jayhawk-Linn

Members of the Columbus High School Track and Field Team traveled to Mound City, for a meet at Jayhawk-Linn High School, Monday. Faith Williams, freshman, took second in the pole vault.

St. Mary’s Colgan wins CNC League double header

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Panthers swept into Columbus on Senior Night and took a pair of CNC League games from the Titans, 7-2 and 10-2, Monday, at Bomber Field.The Panthers opened the first inning by taking five runs from Titan starter, Ben Major, freshman.

CUHS third at Columbus Invitational Tourney

The Columbus Unified High School Golf Team placed third in the Columbus Invitational Tournament, Tuesday, at the Brush Creek Golf Course.Junior, Kanyen Smith, led the Titans with a score card total of 85 for the 18hole course and a fourth place individual medal.

Three-run homer beats Columbus at home, 4-1

A 30-0, Diamond, Mo. team came to Columbus and knocked off the Lady Titan Softball Team, 4-1, with a three-run, home run, in the top of the fifth inning to remain undefeated, Tuesday, at Rockette Field in the Community Field Ball Park.

Lady Titans take senior night sweep over Colgan

The Columbus Lady Titans started early and held off the St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers, 5-2, in game one of the Senior Night, CNC League double header at Rockette Field in Columbus, Monday. Following the recognition of six seniors, Columbus came back out to sweep game two, 14-3.

Robbie Carpino and Joe Schoech won the Championship Flight of the Columbus Titan Baseball, golf fundraiser, Saturday, at the Brush Creek Golf Course. Schoech won bat for the longest dinger.

Columbus falls at intrastate bout at Lamar, Mo.

The Titan Baseball Team traveled to Lamar, Mo. for their lone game of the week, suffering a loss in the bi-state matchup, 3-7.Starting pitcher, Jack Vilela, junior, took the loss on the mound for the Titans.

Lady Titans sweep NE, improve to 14-1

The Columbus Lady Titans continued their winning streak with a pair of victories at Arma, Tuesday. Picking up wins 13 and 14, the Lady Titans swept the double header, 9-0 and 211.Senior, Grace Major, and junior, Hailey Ediger each added a win in the circle to their list of career records.
