Cassidy recognized on Sr. Night

Former Columbus Titan standout athlete, Patrick Cassidy, was recognized Tuesday night during the Kansas University Senior Night Celebration.The Jayhawks avenged an earlier, overtime, loss to the Kansas State Wildcats with a 90-68 win over their instate rivals.

Softball camp Wednesday

The Columbus Lady Titan Softball Team is hosting their eighth annual camp, Wednesday, at the Community Field Ball Park. CUHS Coaches and Players will be donating their time to the local girls interested in honing their softball skills.

Rams eliminated in 3A State game

The Riverton Rams celebration was short lived after winning the Kansas Class 3A Sub-State Tournament, Saturday, over Girard in Caney. The team took the court Wednesday night at the Kansas Class 3A State Tournament for their quarterfinal game against Goodland and came up short, 46-68.

Colgan girls remain undefeated

The St. Mary’s-Colgan Lady Panthers, 23-0, the number two seed in the Kansas Class 2A State Championship, remained undefeated with a, 6650, win in the quarterfinal match-up over the number seven seed, Eureka (19-4). The Wednesday win sends Colgan to the semi-final game, today at 6 p.m.

Cal Ripken League sign-ups tomorrow

The Columbus Cal Ripken League will have their final sign-ups tomorrow at the Community Field Ball Park Concession Stand, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.Players ages 4 (by May 1) to 12 are encouraged to sign up for the 2024 season.A 45 dollar fee will be assessed at sign-ups.
