The Columbus Titans opened their CNC League Schedule with a double shut out over the Baxter Springs Lions in Baxter, Monday. The Titans won the first game 11-0 in six innings and took the night cap, 15-0 in five innings.

The Columbus Lady Titans picked up their second win in a week over former SEK League rival, the Labette County Grizzles with a 12-0, shut out, Thursday at Rockette Field. Monday, Columbus took a 17-1, run-rule win, over Labette County on their home field in Altamont.

Galena High School hosted their first track and field meet in the form of the Galena Relays, Thursday. Teams from 19 schools in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri converged on Galena for the first meet of the 2023 season.

The 4-0 Lady Lions recorded another victory by downing the visiting Fort Scott Lady Tigers, 6-4, Thursday, in Baxter Springs. In the opening inning freshman, Emily Schoon, recorded her first high school home run. In the second inning Fort Scott evened the game.

The Lady Titan Junior Varsity Softball Team opened their 2023 season, Monday, with a draw in Altamont, 8-8. The teams faced off in the night cap following the varsity contest that ended in a 17-1 Lady Titan win. Columbus plated the first two batters on the lineup card to open the first inning.
